Why not just use OC or Keen Ramps? They are cheaper.

So many reasons, but mostly because they are not custom or complete. First, a shipping company drops it off in your front yard--Hopefully your crew is around to lift it on the foundation you've already built and leveled. Second, their ramps come fit for interior use, which most of the time, means incomplete--The finish is the largest line item!

Should I be concerned with sound?

Yes. Our ramps are essentially big dull wood drums, but there are additions we can make to decrease the overall decibel output. We urge that you talk with your neighbors first before considering a Mini Ramp.

How does my ramp survive outdoor conditions?

We take many steps to ensure that our Mini Ramps are waterproof. We use as much pressure treated wood as we can; we elevate this protected wood above the ground; we seal edges and all untreated wood with SPAR urethane to compensate as the wood expands and contracts with the seasons; and we use a composite plastic layer for the finish membrane to ensure no cracks or warping occurs where it is most important.
